Lyla's Nursery

I know it has been a while since I have posted what I promised...but here are the pictures of Lyla's Nursery. We chose a love bug theme and are slowly getting more and more done and added.
Thank you to all of you who gave a gift at the baby showers. We were definitely surprised at all the expressions of love.

Baby Lyla Nicole Watson
Well, I can't believe it. Only9 more weeks until Nicole and I will be making that trip to the hospital. I can hardly wait. We are very excited!
I surprised Nicole...she was in Michigan at a baby shower and I painted and decorated the nursery. Love Bug theme... put a border, hung curtains, assembled the millions and millions of pieces for the crib, changing table, and dresser. The room looks great...thank you to a little help from my friends, Dave & Eric.
Here is the funny part. After I finished assembling the furniture for the nursery I noticed that the crib and the changing table was slightly cracked. I said to myself..."Its okay. Nicole wont mind." Needless to say I am in the process of assembling millions of more pieces together. :-)
I will post some pictures of the Nursery soon. I have to say that I am proud.

Youth Ministry
I love working with teenagers. I love the crazy, unexpected things that they do and say. Nicole and I have the priviledge to watch our youth department grow from 10 to nearly 50 in about a years time.
We have started monthly Teen A.T.T.A.C.'s (All Teens Together After Church) Basically this is a glorified after glow. The teens really seem to eat this up. Our biggest Sunday Evening teen crowd is when we have one of these Teen A.T.T.A.C.'s. We always provide a meal and a game. paid for by the host of the home we are in for the night. We then close with standing in a circle and singing and prayer.
I eat with the teenagers at there public school. I bring pizza and pop. Enough for the teens and his friends.
We have a monthly activity as well. I have a professional graphic designer design a flyer and then I make a big poster to hang in our teen chapel. Some of the trips have been Washington D.C. over spring break. (which is a great trip because everything is free in D.C.) Altlanta Braves Game, Hockey Games, Camping Trips and many more.
I am wondering if there is anyone who is reading this that has worked in youth ministry and done something that really worked well and would recommend for me to try. I am always reading books and looking for new ideas to reach more teenagers.
Thanks again,
Jesse

Nicole's First Solo Cd
We're here at Harvest Gospel Studio in Huntington, West Virginia with our good friends, Dave and Jael Mann. Currently, we are recording the tracks for her album. It has been such an incredible and unique experience to record with these guys. We are just having a blast.
